Cristin Milioti
The Penguin was already a satisfying show for whoever liked The Batman, the rainy and dark atmosphere and the charismatic though untrustworthy character played by Colin Farrell. In the turn of an astonishing fourth episode, the series shaded a different light on what could have been a rather standard villain character: Sofia Falcone became a multi-layered and attaching yet dangerous character, thanks to Milioti’s performance. We knew her as the mother in How I Met your mother, and a few memorable appearances in comedies like Palm Spring or The Resort. We now know that she can brilliantly navigate on darker shores.

Kate Winslet
Queen Kate (we can debate, but apart maybe from Julianne Moore, who can claim such crown?) broke new ground with her transformative performance in Lee, where she brought the fearless war photographer Lee Miller to life. The role not only earned her critical acclaim but solidified her place as a storyteller who can embody strength and vulnerability like no other. She also shined with her riveting performance in The Regime.
