About The Day of the Jackal: The Jackal (Eddie Redmayne) is a highly elusive and exceptional assassin. A lone wolf, he makes his living by carrying out deadly contracts for enormous sums of money. In addition to Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) and Lashana Lynch (The Woman King), Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist) plays Nuria, a central figure in the Jackal’s personal life, unaware of who he truly is. The cast also includes Charles 9’Dance (Game of Thrones) as Timothy Winthrop, Richard Dormer (Blue Lights) as Norman, Chukwudi Iwuji (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) as Osita Halcrow, Lia Williams (The Crown) as Isabel Kirby, Khalid Abdalla (The Crown) as Ulle Dag Charles, Eleanor Matsuura as Zina Jansone, Jonjo O’Neill as Edward Carver, Nick Blood as Vince, Sule Rimi as Paul Pullman, and Florisa Kamara as Jasmin Pullman.

The ten-part adaptation is based on the groundbreaking novel by Frederick Forsyth and the award-winning 1973 Universal Pictures film. The series is produced by Carnival Films, a division of Universal International Studios, and was commissioned by Sky Studios and Peacock.

The series is written and adapted by Ronan Bennett, creator and writer of the critically acclaimed Top Boy. Internationally acclaimed director Brian Kirk (Game of Thrones, Luther, Boardwalk Empire) serves as director.

Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant are executive producers for Carnival Films. Eddie Redmayne is also an executive producer, with Lashana Lynch as co-executive producer. Sam Hoyle is executive producer for Sky Studios. Sue Naegle serves as executive producer, and Marianne Buckland as co-executive producer.
