Sky announced that the high-profile drama series “The Penguin,” starring Colin Farrell, will be available exclusively on the streaming service Sky Show. “The Penguin” continues the epic crime saga from filmmaker Matt Reeves that began with the global blockbuster film “The Batman.”
In this eight-part series by Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios, Colin Farrell reprises his role from the film. The series will air in September 2024.
“The Penguin” will be available exclusively on Sky and the streaming service Sky Show throughout 2024. The eight episodes will be released weekly, in parallel with the US broadcast.
Confirmed cast members include Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown, and Michael Zegen.
The series is produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc (who also writes the script and serves as showrunner), Craig Zobel (who directs the first three episodes), Bill Carraro, and Daniel Pipski.
Based on characters created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger for DC, “The Penguin” is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television, where Reeves and 6th & Idaho have an overall deal.
Comic fans can enjoy a range of hits on Sky Show, including “The Flash,” “Aquaman,” “Shazam!” and, since June 6, the brand-new “Aquaman: Lost Kingdom.”
